Getting Started
Initial Setup
This guide covers the first boot sequence, network configuration, and client pairing required to establish secure out-of-band connectivity.
Initial Setup Flow
Ensure the USBridge device is powered on and the built-in LCD on the front panel is active.
Step 1: Network Configuration
- To enable remote access, the device must be connected to a local network.
- Press the rotary encoder on the front panel to open the Settings menu.
- Select Wi-Fi and locate your target network.
- Enter the network password and wait for the successful connection prompt.
Step 2: Install the Client Application
To control the target machine, you must install the native USBridge Client on your local workstation or mobile device.
Navigate to the Software & Access section of this documentation to download the appropriate package for your system:
- Desktop App (Windows, macOS, Linux) - Recommended for full keyboard/mouse mapping and virtual media mounting.
- Mobile App (iOS, Android) - Ideal for quick out-of-band diagnostics, event logging, and emergency ATX resets.
Step 3: Authorization and Connection
Securely link the client application to your physical USBridge appliance.
- Launch the USBridge Client application.
- Navigate to Add New Device.
- Authorize the connection using QR Code (scan the code displayed on the USBridge LCD) or Manual Entry (input the IP address and Access Token from the device screen).
- Click Connect.
The setup is complete. You now have full out-of-band control over the target system, including BIOS-level interaction and bare-metal OS deployment capabilities.
