Device Status & Menu

The USBridge appliance features a built-in LCD screen and rotary encoder for immediate on-site diagnostics and configuration.

This section details the hardware status indicators and explains how to navigate the core menu sections without requiring active network access.

Front Display and Menu

The front panel provides direct, physical out-of-band management capabilities. You can monitor the target host and configure the USBridge appliance directly from the server rack or your desk.

Main Menu Sections

  • Drives: Access and mount local ISO images and virtual bootable media for bare-metal OS provisioning on the target host.
  • Snapshots: View and manage point-in-time Btrfs filesystem captures, creating an immutable hardware-level defense against accidental deletion or ransomware.
  • Event Log: Review a real-time, chronological history of device activities and system events for comprehensive diagnostic auditing.
  • Settings: Configure critical parameters, including Wi-Fi connectivity, client authorization tokens, display brightness, and system language.
  • Monitor: Engage the local diagnostic mode to view the target host's raw video output directly on the built-in LCD screen.
